About this event

Abstract

The vision to protect the climate, eradicate poverty and promote sustainable development is the foundation of modern global climate governance. The perspective of the Global South offers alternate development discourses and tailor-made solutions to limit climate change. This presentation investigates how international legal frameworks enable or hinder the process of developing these solutions and what can be done about it. It focuses on the contributions of institutions and governments from the Global South, particularly Africa.
